The Canadian Community Reinvestment Coalition (CCRC) is a non-profit, non-partisan coalition of 100 anti-poverty, consumer, community economic development, labour and small business groups representing more than three million people from every province and the Northwest Territories that since 1996 has led the campaign for bank accountability in Canada. The CCRC led the successful citizen campaign in 1998 to stop the proposed big bank mergers, and it's advocacy has forced Canadian banks to lower their service charges, saving Canadians more than $6 billion from 1997 to 2007, and has won other bank accountability measures! La Coalition canadienne pour le réinvestissement communautaire (CCRC) est une coalition de 100 organismes - syndiqués, organismes de développement économique communautaire, groupes anti-pauvreté, de petites entreprises et de protection du consommateur - représentant plus de trois millions de personnes dans les dix provinces et les Territoires du Nord-Ouest et qui militée depuis 1996 en faveur de la responsabilisation des banques au Canada. La pression de la CCRC forcée les banques canadiennes à diminuer leurs frais bancaires, et le resultat est les Canadiens(iennes) ont économisées plus de $6 milliards entre 1997 et 2007!
